What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a painless orthodontic treatment in which you wear plastic aligners over the top of your teeth to perfect their alignment. The aligners are clear, convenient, and comfortable. Most people won’t notice you’re wearing them. Invisalign aligners help improve the look of your smile in as little as six months.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

The benefits you can expect when choosing Invisalign treatment at Sunrise Dental of Lacey include:

  • No tooth gaps
  • Beautiful smile
  • Superior results
  • Ease of use
  • Maximum comfort
  • No wires or brackets
  • Straighter teeth
  • Improved bite

You can take the aligners out of your mouth when needed to eat and brush your teeth, but you wear them most of the day and while you sleep.

Is Invisalign right for me?

Dr. Sahli lets you know if you’re a candidate for Invisalign after reviewing your dental health history, examining your teeth and gums, and taking digital dental X-rays. He tailors an orthodontics treatment that best suits your needs and offers superior results.

What happens during my treatment?

During the first step of Invisalign treatment, Dr. Sahli digitally scans your teeth using cutting-edge technology. A dental lab then develops custom-fitted clear aligners that fit over the top of your teeth. You begin wearing them for 20-22 hours daily, taking the aligners out of your mouth only when needed to eat and brush your teeth.

Keep your aligners clean by using the Invisalign cleaning system or brushing them with toothpaste and a toothbrush. After a week or two, switch to the next set of aligners in the series until you complete treatment. It might take about 6-18 months, but every patient is different.

What should I expect after Invisalign treatment?

After completing Invisalign treatment at Sunrise Dental of Lacey, you can enjoy straight teeth and a beautiful smile. You might need to wear a retainer, at least during certain times of the day or while you sleep, to keep your teeth in their new positions long-term.
